Capture-first memory

Capture now.
Sort later.

Type the thought and get back to work. RemainAI files it as a todo, a note, or a word to look up, and keeps it somewhere you will actually find it again.

Free while in beta. Web, Android, and a real CLI.

The RemainAI capture screen: a single text box, recent captures below it, open todos and today's rituals on the right.

The thought arrives while you are doing something else. Every tool asks you to stop, pick a folder, and name it properly. So you keep it in your head instead, and lose it by evening.

RemainAI takes the opposite trade: one box, no decisions, and structure that shows up afterwards.

The capture screen, with one text box and recent items beneath it. The todos screen, with tasks grouped into engineering, product, writing and reading. A note open in the editor: a pasted latency chart, a syntax-highlighted Go snippet, and a hand-drawn diagram of the cache path. The feed, showing saved articles from three sources with tags and summaries.
  1. One box takes anything

A task, a paragraph, a link, a word you want defined. Add #tags if you already know where it goes; leave them off if you don't. Nothing else is required to save.

  2. It comes back sorted

Anything that reads like a task turns into one, filed under the tag it belongs to. Your todos arrive grouped instead of as one long list you have to triage.

  3. Longer thoughts get room

A capture that grows opens into a real editor: headings and lists, checklists you tick off in place, pasted screenshots, syntax-highlighted code, and drawings in your own handwriting. All of it stays inside the note, tagged and searchable.

  4. Reading lands in the same place

Subscribe to the handful of sources worth keeping. They arrive as a finite list beside your own work, not as another feed to scroll.

The things you do on purpose, repeatedly

Rituals are the small recurring commitments: read a chapter, write for thirty minutes, walk before the first meeting. RemainAI tracks the streak and shows you the whole month at once, so a missed day reads as a missed day and not a failure.

Set up your first ritual
The rituals board: five habits as rows of coloured squares across three weeks, each with a streak count.

The same memory, wherever you are when it arrives

Captured on a phone, opened on a laptop, added from a terminal mid-deploy. There is one store behind all three and nothing to sync by hand.

Your reading queue

It already lives in your terminal

The CLI is not a wrapper someone added late. Capture without leaving the shell, then read your todos and your feed in a keyboard-driven view that opens instantly.

The key is scoped with signed-by, so it can vouch for RemainAI and nothing else on your machine. After this, remain upgrades with the rest of your system.

Let it remain.

A quieter place for the things you do not want to lose.
